Yesterday I stumbled upon a ChatGPT learning prompt that I simply had to share. After all this newsletter is about the future of learning and work!
Mr. Ranedeer’s AI-Tutor: a customizable prompt that delivers personalized learning experiences for users with diverse needs and interests.
While the internet is filled with countless lists of the 30 prompts to help you be better at your job, this specific prompt stands out because it’s the closest thing yet I’ve seen to personalized learning. The adjustable features including depth of knowledge, learning style, communication style, tone, and reasoning framework, mean you can tailor the learning experience to your exact preferences.
Somehow I quickly found myself in a debate with the tutor about the impact of Alan Turing's contributions to the field of computer science and AI, and the implications of the Turing Test (yes, very meta).
Now it’s your turn. To get started:
Open ChatGPT and select GPT-4 (requires a subscription to GPT Plus).
Copy and paste the prompt into ChatGPT and hit enter.
Respond to ChatGPT's questions by copy-pasting the list of configurations and indicating your preferences so it can help you set everything up.

A word of caution: My experience with this prompt brought to light the alarming speed at which AI-generated misinformation can spiral out of control. Admittedly, I lacked sufficient knowledge to discern whether ChatGPT was hallucinating (fabricating information) or not, but I was captivated nonetheless.
The potential impact of this tool on how we learn moving forward is too significant to ignore, so proceed with caution, but prepare to be amazed.
